This election marks a time of great uncertainty that presents tremendous dangers and opportunities!

Let's create new a NEW STORY titled 'We Are All in This Together."  Join us in Charlotte

In this workshop, we will build the skills of connecting with others to animate compassion and inter-being.

Reading the news and considering the 2016 election long held values seem to no longer matter. That presents a tremendous danger and a tremendous opportunity. The social and environmental horrors likely to be committed after this election are likely to incite massive civil disobedience and possibly disorder. Courts are cutting their hours, and political service has become a fundraising business. Journalism has become entertainment. How many of us realize the extent of change over the last 16 years.

Between major societal changes is chaos.Actually, a whole range of ideas become possible with the collapse of dominant institutions.

Most disturbing is the extreme divide, both political and economic.

Therefore, it is important to introduce a force to affect the structures that might appear so that they embody love, compassion, and inter-being. It will take empathy, the result of the compassionate inquiry: "What is it like to be you?"

We are all suffering the same wound of separation. We are longing for deep community, intimate connection with nature, and unconditional love. Can you feel the hurt?

We are all in this together. One earth, one tribe, one people. Let's create an eye of compassion inside the political hate vortex.

Let's Stand Together and stare hate in the face by practicing creative engagement with compassion and empathy.

NVC background helpful, but not required.

There will be two parts of this workshop. First, we will practice getting solidly clear on the beauty of our needs so that we can more calmly dialogue with people who see the world differently. In the second part, we will practice empathy for those caught in anger and fear, so we can avoid fighting about what we don't want and work together for our common needs.
