New England NVC Minutes of June 8, 2008
Present: Jerry Koch-Gonzalez (Amherst, MA), Joe Brummer (RI, soon to be New Haven, CT) Judy Nommik (Vermont) , Peggy Smith (Maine), Gail Carroll (Boston)
Jerry reviewed our history and progress.
Picture Forming round for how will we form NewEnglandNVC
Judy- all state circles have a rep. including Quebec I and individuals who have the intent of forming a state group.
Peggy--nothing new now.
Jerry---want to have a 5-7 regional groups represented in NENVC Circle
Gail - inclusion and community as well as autonomy....BostonNVC is recreating...how does that come in? [Cat is dying and she's leaving the call.]
Joe---having individual represent states....membership format (individual and group members) concerned about inclusion.
Peggy---are we into quality control or not... just by promoting something on the NewEngland level is it supporting it?
Judy---can we visit each other's workshops and support each other as a way of quality control?
Joe---how do other groups handle quality control.
Peggy--size vs population..Maine for example...it's large, but not populated.
Jerry---NVC population....sociocracy insures voices from every where will be heard regardless of population size
Peggy--wants to contribute to NVC infrastructure, questions the usefulness of hearing about workshops from other areas.
Decision: we are in principle in support of creating New England NVC.
And for the next meeting we will continue creating the picture.
IT:
Peggy-- to meet the need for transparency and safety people who have participated in NewEnglandNVC may specifically contact an IT person for the minutes of the IT meetings... All consent
Design and implement NewEnglandNVC website: on hold

Judy: didn't realize that it would take as much discussion as it did to get to where we are, but that's ok.
Jerry: mixed feelings, concern about enough conversation to get to clairity, we keep including new comers how will we keep moving...torn
