Fundraising: Would you be willing to help?
As someone who has had exposure to non-violent communication (NVC), you know the power the process has to connect people and create more harmony in our world. If you value the benefits of non-violent communication and would enjoy seeing it spread more widely throughout New England, would you be willing to donate $10 or more to this effort? To make a tax-deductible contribution, please click the donate button on this page. If you have questions about this fledgling organization or on how your funds will be utilized, please don’t hesitate to contact Jerry 413-549-1747.
What We Want To Do
- Provide a means of information exchange among NVC groups and with CNVC leadership
- Support cooperation and collaboration among those contributing to the spread of NVC
- Increase participation in, and quality, number and variety of opportunities to learn NVC
- Provide ways for all those interested to contribute time, skills and money to the growth of the NVC community
- Improve access for all to information about NVC and opportunities to learn NVC
- Create and sustain a structure for decision making that models partnership
First Step: Creating the New England NVC Web Site
We are excited about these aims and to achieve them we need your help. One of our first steps is to create, develop and sustain a web site that will:
- List New England NVC trainings by date, by region, by trainer
- Offer online registration for NVC events
- Provide a New England practice group locator and offer support and resources for beginning and leading practice groups
- Be a resource for ways to share NVC and network together to build visibility and help spread this powerful consciousness
Second Step: Building Local NVC Communities
We want to identify people in every region of New England who will help promote NVC in their area and connect interested people and organizations with learning opportunities.
Raising Money
We hope to raise our first $6000 between December 2008 and February 2009 to support the web site and a part-time coordinator.
Volunteers
We can use volunteers familiar with web site development (skills necessary), writing and editing (skills necessary) and with database management (both skilled and unskilled). And we are looking for people willing to find training locations, recruit friends and strangers to attend workshops, and to host practice groups. If you want to help, we'll match you with sometihing you enjoy contributing!
We look forward to building New England NVC and welcome your input, participation and assistance.
