Berkshire NVC
Berkshire NVC is a new organizing network designed to keep the NVC consciousness and practices alive and growing here in the Berkshires by keeping everyone apprised of what is happening.
One of our main intentions is to make sure that anyone wanting a practice group can find one or get help starting one. Each group has or will have a brief listing, including meeting times and locations, contact person, and whether it's open or closed to new members or visitors. We have a few experienced group leaders available to help new groups get started, and can facilitate the first few meetings. [For a listing of practice groups go here]
Secondly, Berkshire NVC will be organizing a monthly introductory presentation to the public so that anyone who has an interest in enhancing their communication skills and connection to others can get a taste of what NVC is and explore pursuing it further. We will hold these events in different churches, temples, libraries and community halls throughout Berkshire County. Thirdly, for those who want a more in-depth experience of NVC, the website will list upcoming one-day and weekend trainings in the region, as well as providing links to national and international trainings, through the wider NVC network.
Additionally, Berkshire NVC will offer on-site programs to churches, temples, non-profit organizations, schools, and businesses.
A request: To assist in this effort to make Nonviolent Communication a household word in the Berkshires, I would like to ask for your support in helping to circulate this website and organization to anyone whom you feel might benefit from this process. The introductions are free to the public (with donations always welcome), and open to people of all walks of life: friends, family, colleagues, teachers, government officials, therapists, teenagers, etc. If you are associated with a church, temple, library or other commuinty gathering space that might be interested in hosting an introductory NVC presentation or film-showing, please let us know!
